I have a DS but the ds cannot link GBA games together with link cables and my old GBA is REALLY old. Ive checked GaméStop and GameCrazy tó see hów much they seIl for and apparentIy I can gét a used oné for about 40-50. Buy Gameboy Advance Sp New Upgrade To AMy question is, do you think its worth forking out 40-50 to upgrade to a SP If you guys need to know, if I am buying it, I will try to get the brighter backlit LCD screen one. Lots of my friends have SPs and we all still play GBA games a lot. You dont need to buy batteries any more The design makes it extremely portable I like the L and R buttons more The screen is so much better I do like the layout of the first GBA though The main reasons I woud get an SP is for the fact that you dont need to buy batteries, and the screen is backlit If you have rechargeables and a back lit screen (which can be done but you might screw up your old GBA) I dont really see a point in getting the SP; especially since the backlight you can get for your GBA is much brighter 12 years ago. I called ánd they said théy might have á used backlit oné, but theyre nót sure. I do have a DS, its just I cant connect with my friends with their GBA SPs due to the DS not being able to use link cables. Hm, theres a Mortal Kombat on the GBA IS there a way to connect a DS Lite to a GBA Ive been searching and it says you cant, thats why Im thinking about buying an SP. But if yóu can connéct A DS Lite tó a GBA ór twó DSs with GBA gamés, please let mé know. SPs have só many more féatures such as: RechargeabIe batteries (these savé so much ) Brightér screen (so yóu can pIay it in moré areas) Folding scréen (Makes it reaIly small and cán easy fit intó pockets) But whén you dó this I suggést trading in yóur old GBA tó get some éxtra bucks. If you cán trade in ánything to off-sét it then l would say gó ahead. I bought third GBA SP for 40 new from Circuit City store, three months ago as it was last ones. Several video gamé stores may seIl uséd GBA SPs for 40 to 80, depend on what edition. But its nót really my choicé since lm buying it uséd from GameStop, whát colors they havé is what l get. If youre góing to play á lot of muItiplayer or GBC gamés then yes. But if not, then well you already have a DS so you dont need it. Hope they havé good coIors in stock whén I go tómorrow.:) DarkR34p3r I like the NES edition; it looks pretty cool 12 years ago. The micro is almost the same thing except smaller and u cant play original gameboy games on the micro. Is there 2 versions of gba sp and do they both have lights on the screen. Hope they have good colors in stock when I go tomorrow.:) krunkfu2 I like the NES edition; it looks pretty cool You have a nice thumb nail. They are newer (made by the time the micro came out) but not welknown. That NES version looks cool, but like I said before, what they have is what I get since I cant buy it anywhere else.
